St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub/ Exfoliante St. Ives

No sé porque me he tardado tanto en hacer esta reseña... definitivamente este debe de ser uno de mis productos favoritos de todos los tiempos. Les pido disculpas de antemano, en este momento no cuento con el producto (se me acabó) y por lo tanto no tengo fotos propias. Del que sí tengo fotos es de una versión genérica del St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub de la marca Equate de Walmart (el cual en mi humilde opinión es igual de bueno e idéntico).

I don't know why I've taken so long to make a review of this... it's most definitely one of my favorite products of all time. I apologize because right now I don't own the product, I ran out and got the generic version from Walmart's brand Equate (which in my humble opinion is the same and equally good).

Tanto amo esta cosa que me voy a atrever a decir que no hay nada que lo supere, ni el Charcoal Scrub de Freeman ni nada. Yo me acuerdo que mi mamá lo usaba y de chiquita le robaba porque me encantaba como dejaba mi cara suave. Creo que a veces es necesario regresar a lo 'básico', lo primero que salió. Nada limpia mejor mi cara ni me quita los puntos negros como esto. 

I love this thing so much that I'll dare to say that there's nothing else that can compare, not the Charcoal Scrub from Freeman or anything. I remember my mom used it and when I was little I would always steal from her because I loved how soft it left my skin. Sometimes I think it's necessary to go back to the 'basics', the first things that came out. Nothing cleans better or takes off my blackheads like this.

Es cremoso, huele a  albaricoque y tiene granulitos de buen tamaño. 

It's creamy, smells like apricot and has good size grains.

Es muy potente, depende de ti que tanta fuerza quieras aplicar, claro que si no te quieres arrancar la cara hay que hacerlo con presión moderada.

It's really powerful, it's up to you how much strength you want to use, of course if you don't want to rip off your face you'll have to be moderate. 

No tengo más que decir que lo usen, es increíble, lo he usado por años y no he encontrado nada mejor, al final siempre regreso a el. St. Ives claramente tiene el mejor exfoliante en mi opinión, claro que si buscan una opción más económica e idéntica esta el de la marca Equate.

I have nothing more to say, just try it, it's amazing, I've used it for years and I've never found something better, I always end up coming back to it. St. Ives clearly has the best exfoliator in my opinion, of course if you want something cheaper but identical you can buy the Equate version.

Aceite de Almendras Dulces para el Cabello/ Sweet Almond Oil for Hair

Todas queremos cabello lindo sin importar si es corto o largo, no? En las tiendas hay muchísimos tratamientos, aceites, enjuagues y bla, bla, bla, pero no son nada baratos. Algo que a mi me ha funcionado bastante bien es el Aceite de Almendras Dulces, es barato y no requiere de mucho esfuerzo para usarlo, además es 100% natural.

We all want pretty hair, be it long or short, it doesn't matter. There are many options in supermarkets like, oils, shampoos, conditioners, intensive hair treatments and blah, blah, blah. Something that has worked for me is the Sweet Almond Oil, it's inexpensive and doesn't require much effort to use it, plus it's 100% natural.

Por mucho tiempo he intentado dejarme crecer el cabello pero siempre terminaba cortándolo por la orzuela. (*ojo, esto no significa que no lo vas a cortar nunca. Recuerda que nada puede sustituir un despunte, el aceite te ayudará a mantenerlo sano).

For the longest time I've been trying to grow out my hair but it wasn't possible since I had so many split ends, so I always ended up cutting it. (*this doesn't mean you'll never need to cut it. Remember nothing can replace a trim, the oil will help you keep it healthy).

¿Qué hace el aceite de almendras?

Tiene alto contenido de vitamina E (esencial para el cuidado y fortalecimiento de piel y cabello).

Ayuda a eliminar la caspa y a la caída del cabello sin dejarlo graso al aplicarlo.

Yo me lo pongo por las noches dando masaje y amarrándolo para no ensuciar nada y por la mañana lo lavo normal, mi cabello se siente grueso y brillante, con mucha más vida. 

What does the almond oil do?

It has high content of vitamin E (essential for caring and fortifying skin and hair).

Helps eliminate dandruff and hair-loss without leaving it greasy when applying it.

I use it at night giving a massage and putting it up in a pony tail so I won't make a mess and in the morning I wash it normally, my hair feels thick, shiny and lively.

Pues bueno, desde que tengo memoria se podría decir que siempre he tenido los dientes blancos, el color que tengo nunca ha sido aperlado y debo decir que siempre me han dicho que tengo lindos dientes. Desgraciadamente con el paso de los años he notado que mis dientes ya no son como antes, han perdido blancura y eso me ha orillado a querer probar algo con que recuperar mi tono natural.

Ok so, I've always had what you can can white natural teeth color, my tone has never been pearly and for this reason, for as long as I can remember I've gotten compliments on how nice my teeth are. To my bad luck with the passing of year I've noticed that they aren't as white like they used to be, situation that has driven me to want to try things that can bring my natural color back.

Elegí el producto de Plus White 5 Minute Bleaching Gel, el cual ví que tenía excelentes calificaciones en Youtube, Amazon, etc. Mis dientes son sensibles así que escogí la presentación 'sensible', y he aquí, una fórmula transparente tipo gel. La debes de aplicar a tus dientes limpios de 5 a 20 minutos, no más.

I chose the product Plus White 5 Minute Bleaching Gel, which I saw had excellent reviews on Youtube, Amazon, etc. My teeth are sensitive so I chose the presentation 'sensitive' and here it is, a transparent/ gel-like formula. You're supposed to leave it on from 5 to 20 mins maximum.

So here goes nothing...

Ok, como pueden ver la primera foto es el antes, durante y al final los resultados después de 15 minutos. Es bastante incomodo si no tienes un retenedor para no tener que mantener tu boca abierta y no quitarte el gel. En fin, creo que sí ayudó pero no de manera sorprendente como había visto en youtube. Como dije mis dientes ya de por sí son blancos, tal vez funcione mejor en personas que tengas dientes manchados o un tono más oscuro. El resultado no dura mucho, en el empaque dice que lo debes de aplicar todos los días 2 veces al día durante una semana, lo cual me parece una exageración pero eso dependerá de que tan resistentes sean tus dientes a la formula.

Ok, as you can see the first pic is before, meanwhile and the end result after 15 minutes. It's really uncomfortable if you don't have a mouth guard to keep yourself from taking off the gel (gotta keep your mouth open). I think it did whiten them somewhat but not impressive results as I saw on other people on youtube. Like I said my teeth color is already white, maybe it works better on people with stains or a darker shade. The result doesn't last very long, on the package it says you should apply it 2 times a day for a whole week, which I think is excessive but I guess that'll depend on each person's resistance to the formula.

Tengo un choque de sentimientos encontrados con este producto, Freeman es una marca súper famosa por sus productos de belleza y su amplia gama de mascarillas.

I must say I have mixed feelings over this product, Freeman is a super famous brand known for its wide beauty products and wide variety of masks.

Al principio la usé y me enamoré, pensé que había encontrado un sustituto para la mascarilla de Avon. La usé y me sacó todo de los poros, todo, todo y me emocioné. Tristemente sólo fue así las primeras veces que me la apliqué y después... nada.

The first times I used it I fell in love, I thought I had found a substitute for the Avon mask. I used it and it took everything out, literally everything out of my pores and I got really excited. Sadly it only worked the first couple of times and then... nothing.

Realmente no se que ha cambiado (apenas tiene 2 meses como máximo), pero ahora me la aplico, la dejo secar y cuando me la arranco, se despega como una calcomanía de esas de plástico que se usan para que no deje goma en el envase. LITERAL. No es como si mi cara estuviera más limpia, mis poros se siguen tapando igual pero no sé, es como si no tuviera agarre y no me saca nada. 

I really don't know what has changed (it's only 2 months old max.), but now that I apply it, I let it dry and when I peel it off, it comes out like one of those special plastic stickers they use so that it doesn't leave glue on the package. LITERALLY. It's not like my face is cleaner now, my pores are still getting clogged but I don't know, it's like it doesn't grab on to anything.

Estoy algo triste porque ahora no tengo con que hacerme la limpieza extrema de antes, tal vez espera mucho de ella... pero no creo si al principio lo hizo, por qué ahora no? Lo rescatable es que al menos me deja la piel fresca y humectada después del uso, pero, es suficiente eso como consuelo cada vez que me la quito y no veo nada? Pruébenla, tal vez les funcione a ustedes de maravilla así como para mi en un principio.

I'm actually kind of sad, now I don't have anything to deep de-clog my pores like before, maybe I expected too much from it... but really if it worked before, why not now? I guess the only good thing about it is that it leaves my skin fresh and moisturized after using it, but really is that enough to take away the disappointment every time I take it off and I don't see anything on it?

Try it out, maybe it will work wonders for you like it did for me in the beginning.

Viene en un tubito de 15g y el empaque no tiene nada de especial, es simple y limpio.

It comes in a 15g tube, nothing fancy, just plain, simple packaging.

Su textura es cremosa y se absorbe en tiempo decente, tiene unos destellos microscópicos que ayudan a iluminar la mirada. El producto en sí dice atenuar líneas de expresión.

It's texture is creamy and it absorbs in a decent amount of time, it has microscopic sparkles that help illuminate your eyes.

The product itself claims to soften fines lines & wrinkles.

De verdad que yo amo la marca de Neutrogena pero este producto me dejo mucho a desear. Es un buen humectante (esta bien si no esperas más) pero siento que se tarda un poco en asentarse a la piel. La he estado usando un mes y no he notado ninguna diferencia lo cual es una lástima.

I really love Neutrogena as a brand but this product was a let down. It's a good moisturizer (good if you don't expect anything more than that) but I feel it takes a while to sink in. I've been using it for a month and I haven't notice any difference which is really a shame.

Aproximadamente cada mes me hago una mascarilla para el cabello, que es más o menos el tiempo en donde se pone más seco porque no me lo he cortado o simplemente para alimentarlo y hacerlo brillar más.

Every month I like to pamper myself by making a hair mask since it is the time when it gets dry from not cutting it or simply to 'feed' it and give it a boost of shine.

Aquí les dejo los ingedientes:

• Aceite de oliva extra virgen (3 cdas.)
• Miel de abeja (2 cdas.)
• 1 aguacate
• gorra de baño

Here are the ingredients you'll need:

• Extra virgin oil (3 spoons)
• Natural honey bee (2 spoons)
• 1 avocado
• shower cap

Ahora simplemente mezclamos todo bien hasta tener una pasta.

Nos we simply mix everything until we have a paste.

Nos la aplicamos y nos ponemos el gorro ya que con el calor va a penetrar mejor nuestro cabello.

We apply it and put on our cap, heat will help it penetrate our hair better.

La dejamos reposar 20 mins. y lavamos nuestro cabello normal, si lo sientes muy enredado puedes aplicar acondicionador.

1. El aceite de oliva lo nutre, lo deja más suave.
2. La miel de abeja le da brillo y lo fortalece previniendo que se quiebre.
3. El aguacate lo humecta y sus vitaminas lo hacen brillar.

Leave it on for 20 mins. then wash it of normally, if you feel it's too tangled apply conditioner.

1. Olive oil nourishes your hair leaving it softer.
2. Honey bee adds shine and fortifies preventing breakage.
3. Avocado's vitamins mousturizes and make it shine.

Tras los pasados meses terribles de resequedad, empecé mi búsqueda por una crema ultra humectante para la noche. He tenido buenas experiencias en general con los productos de Avon así que decidí probar esta de la linea Solutions.

Hi everyone!

Through experiencing terrible dryness on my skin the past months, I started searching for a night cream that would really moisturize my face. I've generally had good experiences with Avon products so I decided to go for this one from their Solutions collection.

Contiene extracto de alga marina que ayuda a recuperar la hidratación natural de tu piel. 

Tiene un olor fresco a planta y la consistencia es entre crema/ gel. 

It contains kelp extract which help recover skin's natural hydration. It has a fresh smell similar to plants and the consistency is between cream/ gel.

Se absorbe rápido, se siente fresca en la piel pero eso sí, no hay que ponerla muy cerca del contorno de los ojos ya que es fuerte y a mi en lo personal me ha hecho lagrimar (arde un poco). Mientras la aplicas se siente algo pegajosa pero al terminar la aplicación la piel se siente súper suave.

It absorbs quickly, it feels fresh on the skin but beware! careful not applying it too close to your eye contour, since it is a strong product it can sting (it has made my eyes watery). While working it into your face it gets a bit sticky but when done your skin gets so, so soft.

Veredicto, me gusta. Ayuda bastante bien a la lucha contra la resequedad y no es grasosa como la Teatrical. Para dormir no me gusta estar toda sebosa así que realmente me agrada usarla y que aún me de oportunidad de aplicar un concentrado u otra cosa sin sentirme atascada de la cara.

Final thoughts, I like it. It really has helped my battle against dry skin and its not as greasy as the Teatrical. Perfect for night time since it's lightweight and I love the fact that it still allows you to apply something else like a serum without feeling buttery but giving great results.

Vamos a hablar de la crema de Avon, Anew Vitale Loción de Día. Esta imagen que les muestro es la versión que salió en tubo a diferencia de la de tarro. Es para pieles de 25 años en adelante la cual ayuda a combatir los primeros signos de la edad.

Nos ofrece una protección solar de 25 SPF/ UVB filtro UVA y supuestamente ayuda a combatir líneas expresión y a que la piel se sienta revitalizada. 

It provides a 25 SPF UVB/UVA and supposedly helps fight expression lines while making your skin feel revitalized.

Su textura es muy ligera perfecta para alguien que odia ponerse cosas en la cara, tiene un aroma suave que no dura mucho. 

Texture is lightweight perfect for someone who hates putting things on their face, it has a soft smell which doesn't last long.

Me parece que realmente lo que venden es la idea de un producto para un mercado más joven, no noté ningún cambio en mi piel, tampoco me humectó bien, en todo momento tuve que usar otro humectante encima. El FPS está bien pero no es algo que hago un WOW en el producto si de todos modos yo me aplico un protector solar aparte.

It seems that what they are really selling is the idea of a product aimed for younger skins, I didn't notice any change in my skin, it didn't moisturize me adequately and I always had to use another product on top of this. The FPS is ok but is not something that gives a WOW to this product since I always apply a separate sunscreen to my face.

No lo compraría de nuevo, tal vez la presentación de tarro sea mas espesa y me sirva más, pero no voy a tratar de averiguarlo. Como mencionaba antes, puede ser una buena opción para usar en verano o para alguien a quien no le gusta usar muchas cosas, es ligero y tiene algo de protección solar.

I wouldn't buy it again, maybe the jar presentation has a thicker formula but I won't bother trying to figure it out.

Like I said before, maybe it's a good option for summer or for someone who doesn't like applying many things since it's light and has somewhat sun protection.

Hola a todos! El día de hoy les voy a platicar un poquito de una crema de ojos que me está encantando. La marca Mizon es Coreana y tiene una línea completita de productos con baba de caracol que tanto están de moda.

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to be talking about an eye cream I've been loving. It's from the Korean brand Mizon which has a whole product line dedicated to lovely snail slime. 

Contiene secreción de baba de caracol en un 80% y factor de crecimiento epidermal. La crema dice iluminar, ayudar a combatir arrugas, humectar y aportar elasticidad.

This product contains 80% of snail secretion an epidermal growth factor. It claims to brighten, fight wrinkles, hydrate and help elasticity.

El empaque es simple y sofisticado, de vidrio grueso con tapa de plástico y como muchos productos coreanos, te incluye una espátula para hacer el proceso de aplicación más higiénico.

The packaging is quite simple and sophisticated looking, it has thick glass and a plastic cap, like most of korean products it comes with a spatula to make everything more hygienic.

Algo que hay que destacar es su tamaño, ya que a comparación de productos americanos para los ojos, este trae muchísimo! son 25 ml lo cual me hace muy feliz porque me va a durar mucho tiempo.

Something that makes me really happy is its size, it's pretty big compared to american eye cream this contains 25 ml which will last me a very long time!!

Su textura es ligera, se absorbe muy rápido (lo cual me encanta) y no te deja grasoso, es un poquito pegajosa mientras la masajeas. Tiene un olor un poco 'fuerte' por así decirlo, no a perfume sino me recuerda un poco a las cremas de Anew de avon, tiene un olor como de que va a (funcionar no se si me entiendan jaja).

It's like texture absorbs really fast (love it) and it doesn't leave you greasy, it's a tiny bit sticky while you work it into your skin. Has a little bit of a 'strong' smell but not of perfume, it reminds me of Anew creams from Avon, a smell that tells you it will work (if you know what I mean lol).

Me gusta? Me encanta! Siento que si reduce mis arrugitas, se ven menos mis ojeras y sí que ilumina la mirada, es mi crema predilecta y gracias a ella próximamente estaré adquiriendo la crema de rostro completo de la misma línea de baba de caracol de Mizon.

Do I like it? I love it! I feel it reducing my fine lines, my dark circles became lighter and it definitely illuminates my skin. Definitely my favorite eye cream and thanks to this a will soon be purchasing the face moisturizer from the same line of snail products from Mizon.
