Visita fría en ÉFESO |Cold visit to EPHESOS - Selçuk,Turkey

Era un día frío y lluvioso cuando llegamos a Selçuk una ciudad muy tranquila cerca de Éfeso, nuestro destino final.

It was a cold and rainy day when we arrived to Selçuk a nice and tranquil city very close to Ephesos, our final destination.

El primer día no nos estábamos sintiendo muy bien, habíamos viajado por varios días sin parar y los estragos de no dormir se empezaban a notar, por eso decidimos quedarnos a pasear por la zona y nos encontramos con varios lugares lindos.

On the first day we weren't feeling so well, we had been traveling non-stop for several days and the after effects of not sleeping were starting to hit us, so, we decided to stay and just look around the nearby places where we found some very nice sights.

Primera parada: nos dirigimos al castillo de Ayasoluk. Es el primer gran lugar que se puede ver a lo lejos, inmediatamente llama tu atención, es imponente. Fue construído en el Siglo V, adentro podemos ver cisternas, una pequeña mezquita y hermosas vistas.

First stop: we walked to Ayasoluk castle. It is the first beautiful place you can spot from afar, immediately catches your attention, very imposing. It was built in the 5th century and inside we can find, cisterns, a small mosque and amazing sights. 

Segunda parada: Basílica de San Juan.

Construida en el año 548 por el emperador Justiniano para el apóstol Juan.

Second stop: Basilica of St. John.

Built in 548 by emperor Justinian for John the apostle.

En la noche nos deleitamos con una rica cena, Pide que es como una pizza estilo turco.

At night we enjoyed ourselves with some yummy dinner; Pide turkish style pizza.

Por fin, al día siguiente se nos hizo visitar Éfeso. Un lugar donde te sientes que has viajado en el tiempo, es una antigua ciudad que fue centro religioso, cultural y comercial de Asia menor. Se dice que en verano es imposible  caminar por tanta gente que visita pero como nosotros fuimos en invierno hacía un frío del demonio y no había tanta gente.

Finally the next day we get to go to Ephesos. A place were you really feel like you travelled back in time, it's an ancient city which was once minor Asia's of cultural, religious and comercial centre. It is said that in summer time you can't even walk because there are so many people, but since we went winter it was so freaking cold and not so much of a crowd.

Increíblemente espectacular, lo único que me hubiera gustado es que no lloviera porque con el frío te dolían hasta lo huesos. Sin duda un lugar que hay que ver antes de morir.

Incredibly spectacular, the only thing I would have liked is that it didn't rain because added to the cold weather even your bones hurt. An absolutely must see place before dying.

Mini Mochila de Mezclilla DIY | Mini Denim Backpack DIY

Lo hice una vez más. Últimamente he estado muy emocionada haciendo manualidades pero creo que esta vez si se me paso la mano con el grado dificultad jaja.

I did it once again. Lately I've been into DIYs a lot but I think this time I really did go all out on the level difficulty.

El sábado muy temprano me puse a ver Pinterest y me tope con una hermosa imagen de una mochila de mezclilla y dije hmmm, se ve linda... seguí viendo y dí con una que decía DIY y luego luego dije, yo yo yoo! La verdad que no se veía tan difícil y modestia aparte soy muy buena en todo lo creativo, así que dije ¿por qué no?

On Saturday very early I decided to go on Pinterest and I saw a beautiful image of a denim backpack and I said hmmm, it looks nice... I kept looking and found one that said DIY and instantly went me me mee! It really didn't look that hard and leaving all modesty aside, well, I'm really good at all creative things so I asked myself, why not?

No voy a hacer un tutorial porque la verdad es complicado de explicar y ya hay unos súper buenos en internet pero más o menos lo que necesitas es:

• pantalón de mezclilla que ya no quieras.
• máquina de coser
• papel para hacer tu patrón
• mucha paciencia.

I'm not going to do a tutorial because it's really complicated to explain and besides there's really some great ones online. I'll kind of tell you what you'll need:

• jeans you don't want
• sewing machine
• paper to make your pattern 
• a lot of patience

Y bien, fue una tortura espectacular que la verdad disfruté mucho, soy muy minuciosa y creo que por eso me tomo tanto tiempo, eso y la mugrosa máquina de coser que a cada rato dejaba de funcionar y tuve que coser varias partes a mano (me salieron ampollas)fuera de eso me siento soñada con los resultados. La mochilita quedo muy bonita y está tan tierna!! Que mejor que poder reciclar y hacer cosas que a veces ves en tiendas y no puedes comprar. Creo que valió mucho la pena. Qué les parece? Se animan?

And well, it was a really cool kind of torture, I enjoyed it a lot even though it took me a long time. I encountered various problems, for example the sewing machine stopped working every 6 stitches, or that I had to sew many parts and got blisters. The mini backpack turned out really cute!! How awesome is it to be able to recycle and make the things you see in stores and sometimes can't buy? I think it was well worth the time, what do you guys think? Are you up for it?

Desde hace rato que tenía ganas de ir a comprar cositas y por fin hoy pude darme una vuelta por una tienda que hay aquí en México, se llama TodoModa y la verdad que fue excelente porque ahorita por cambio de temporada tienen cosas muy baratas (yo soy débil contra las ofertas). No compré mucho pero estoy emocionada porque conseguí unas cosas bien padres!! :D 

Since a while I've been wanting to go shopping for cute little things and finally today I got a chance to do it, there's a store here in Mexico called TodoModa and it was great because right now they have many discounts for the changing season (gotta love sales). I didn't buy so much but I'm really happy that I got super cute things!! :D

Bueno pues primero encontré este hermosísimo collar de cuentas con piedritas turquesa, los colores son super vibrantes y cambian tu look por completo. Me encantó!

Firstly I got this beautiful necklace with turquoise stones, the colors are so vibrant, this accessory can change a whole outfit, I love it!



Conseguí 2 lindas mascadas que sirven mucho para el clima ahorita aquí en México que ya empieza a hacer algo de frío.

I found these pretty scarves that are perfect for the weather nowadays in Mexico since it's starting to get a bit chilly.



Otro collar que es como más casual, me recuerda a la película de Atlantis de Disney.

Another necklace but a bit more casual, it reminds me of the movie Atlantis from Disney.



Un fabuloso y coqueto monedero en forma de macarrón (galleta), está bien tierno!!!

A fab and flirtatious coin purse in macaroon shape, it's sooo cute!!!





Y por último, me hacía mucha falta una bolsa cosmetiquera porque la mía ya está para irse a la basura, encontré esta súper barata y espaciosa.

And last but not least, I needed a makeup bag because mine is ready to go to the trash can, I found this one for a really low price and it's super spacey.

DIY Collar Grueso de Hilos /DIY String Statement Necklace

         

Instrucciones:

1. Primero cortamos las hilazas de una sola orilla, para que las podamos extender (aprox. 22cm de largo).
2. Las alineamos y pegamos de la orilla superior a una base rígida.
3. Las dividimos en tres partes y trenzamos.
4. Atamos unos buenos nudos a las orillas para evitar que se muevan los hilos.
5. Rodeamos las orillas con hilo para cubrir los flecos que nos quedaron.
6. Tomamos nuestro hilo y aguja y cosemos la cadena en la parte posterior de nuestra trenza.
7. A continuación cosemos las rondanas en la parte inferior de nuestra trenza (en mi caso también le agregue una cadena para darle más personalidad).

¡Terminamos! 

Instructions:

1. Firstly cut the string loop in half so we can extend it ( they should be about 22cm. long)
2. We align them and paste one end to a rigid surface.
3. Divide them into three parts and braid them.
4. Tie the ends with another string and secure them tightly.
5. With another string we will surround the ends to cover the fringes.
6. Take your needle and string and sew the chain along the back of the braid.
7. Next take your metal rings/decorations and place them where you'd like (sew them in place).

Relajación en Mazatlán México/ Relaxing in Mazatlán Mexico

Para unas vacaciones express decidimos darnos una vuelta por Mazatlán. Teníamos otras opciones pero al final se redujo a esta ya que por estas fechas estaban todos los huracanes arruinando las playas.

For our express vacations we decided to go to Mazatlán. We had other options but in the end we came here because the hurricanes were all over Mexico's beaches.

Nos quedamos en el Pueblo Bonito, todo incluido y la verdad que hacía tanto calor que rara vez llegamos a salir de ahí, teníamos todo, bebidas, alberca, jacuzzi, buena comida y si queríamos podíamos bajar a la playa.

We stayed in Pueblo Bonito, all included and since it was super hot we rarely got out of there, we had everything, drinks, swimming pool, jacuzzi, good food and if we wanted to we could go down to the beach.

Meal time was so exciting for me, I wanted everything and I was always having a hard time deciding, fortunately everything was delicious.

Parque Temático Miniatürk Estambul/ Miniatürk Theme Park Istanbul

Sin duda un lugar que no tenía planeado visitar pero que realmente valió la pena es Miniatürk, uno de los parques miniatura más grandes del mundo. Cuenta con 122 modelos a escala de todas partes de Turquía.

Miniatürk is a place that wasn't on my list when I travelled there but that was definitely worth it. It is one of the biggest miniature parks in the world, having 122 scale models of places from all around Turkey.

Es padre poder sentirte como un niño de nuevo mientras vas recorriendo este fabuloso lugar con hermosos modelos, me recuerda un poco a cuando jugaba con la casa de mis Barbies.

It's awesome feeling like a little kid while you're going around this amazing place full of beautiful models, it kind of reminds of when I played with my Barbie house.

En verdad le agradezco a mi novio que tuvo la grandiosa idea de llevarme ahí! :D

I really have to thank my boyfriend for having the great idea of taking me there! :D
